Before departure
MARUB Seven is an RNP 1 departure for jets from runway 34R. Keep indicated airspeed at or below 250 kt below 10,000 ft. During the initial right turn, a tighter limit applies: maximum 180 kt indicated airspeed and minimum 25° bank angle.
During parallel runway operations, do not turn left. There are man-made obstacles and trees in the departure area.
Initial climb to MARUB
- Climb on track 335°. The required climb gradient is 4.8% to 1,500 ft, then 3.3%.
- At 500 ft, turn right to intercept and follow track 075° to MARUB. Observe the 180 kt maximum speed and 25° minimum bank angle during this turn.
- At MARUB, follow the cleared transition below.
Radar transition
At MARUB, continue on track 075°. Expect radar vectors to the cleared route.
Wollongong transition
At MARUB, turn right onto track 144°. At or above 10,000 ft, turn right, direct to WOL NDB, then continue as cleared.
Frequencies
All frequencies are MHz.
Sector altitudes and chart conventions
The 25 NM minimum sector altitude is 2,700 ft, centred on the YSSY aerodrome reference point. The 10 NM minimum sector altitude is 2,100 ft. Bearings are magnetic, with 13° east variation. Altitudes are feet above mean sea level unless a flight level is stated. These route diagrams are not to scale.
