This is an RNP 1 departure from runway 16L. Do not make the initial turn to the right during parallel runway operations. Maximum IAS is 250 kt below 10,000 ft. The initial climb gradient is 3.3%, with an 8% requirement to EXOVA on the transitions that use it.

From runway 16L to KEVIN

  1. Track 155°, at no more than 230 kt until IDBIM.
  2. At 500 ft, turn left direct to IDBIM. The diagram labels the direct segment 2 NM.
  3. At IDBIM, track 128° to KEVIN, 10 NM, at no more than 250 kt until KEVIN.

Radar transition

At KEVIN, continue 128° and expect radar vectors to the cleared route.

CAWLY, EVONN and OPTIC transitions

From KEVIN, turn left onto the track for the cleared transition: After the named destination, continue as cleared.

Common route for DIPSO, NOBAR and OLSEM

Maximum IAS is 265 kt until EXOVA, while retaining the general 250 kt limit below 10,000 ft.
  1. From KEVIN, turn left onto 035° to EXOVA, 7 NM.
  2. Cross EXOVA at or above 10,000 ft. The required climb gradient to EXOVA is 8%.
  3. Turn left onto 003° to PEDLU, 10 NM.
Then use the cleared branch: The initial no-right-turn caution does not cancel a published right turn after PEDLU.

Sector altitudes and chart conventions

The 25 NM minimum sector altitude is 2,700 ft, centred on the YSSY aerodrome reference point. The 10 NM minimum sector altitude is 2,100 ft. Bearings are magnetic, with 13° east variation. Altitudes are feet above mean sea level unless a flight level is stated. These route diagrams are not to scale. Published change: editorial.
