This RNP 1 area-navigation departure is for jets from runways 16, 27 or 34. Maximum indicated airspeed is 250 kt below 10,000 ft. The source warns of trees in the runway 34 departure area.

Runway 16

The initial published climb gradient is 3.3%, with a required gradient of 6.5% to YARRA.
  1. Track 160° for 10 NM to YARRA. Cross YARRA at or above 4,000 ft.
  2. Turn left, track 146° for 43 NM to SUNTI, then continue as cleared.

Runway 27

The initial published climb gradient is 3.3%, with a required gradient of 9.9% to LILPU.
  1. Track 263° for 6 NM to LILPU. Cross LILPU at or above 4,000 ft.
  2. Turn left, track 200° for 6 NM to DARLY.
  3. Turn left, track 138° for 54 NM to SUNTI, then continue as cleared.

Runway 34

The initial published climb gradient is 4.6% to 1,500 ft, then 3.3%. Additional required gradients are 7.1% to POREM and 6.2% to GEDEN.
  1. Track 340° for 4 NM to ROKDL.
  2. Turn right, track 015° for 7 NM to POREM, a fly-over waypoint. Cross POREM at or above 5,000 ft.
  3. Turn right, fly direct to GEDEN (a 15 NM leg). Cross GEDEN at or above 10,000 ft.
  4. Track 175° for 15 NM to PEBAL.
  5. Turn left, track 149° for 34 NM to SUNTI, then continue as cleared.

Sector altitudes and chart conventions

The 10 NM minimum sector altitude (MSA) is 3,300 ft. The 25 NM MSA, centred on the YMML aerodrome reference point (ARP), is 4,500 ft in the northern sector and 3,700 ft in the southern sector. The sector boundaries are labelled B-080° on the west side and B-260° on the east side; these are bearing labels, not VOR radials. Tracks are magnetic; altitudes are feet above mean sea level (AMSL), and leg distances are nautical miles (NM). The diagram uses 12° east magnetic variation and is not to scale. Direct means fly to the named waypoint without a published magnetic track for that leg.
