Applicability

This chart applies to the Airbus A380. Both runway 09/27 and runway 16/34 are available. The ground chart shows sealed surfaces, with dimensions 2,286 × 45 m and 3,657 × 60 m, respectively. Exercise caution when applying power on an outboard engine while taxiing, to prevent erosion of taxiway shoulders.

Taxiways unavailable to the A380

The two S restrictions together cover W to Y, with J between them. They are shown separately above to preserve the chart’s segment descriptions.

Tow route exception

Taxiway E east of S is otherwise unavailable for this aircraft type. An exemption may be provided for towing for a runway 27 departure. Contact the Senior Airside Safety Officer for approval. The diagram distinguishes tow routes with a dashed line; this exception is not a general taxi authorization.

Runway-incursion hot spots

Two locations are enlarged on the chart:
  • C near A and V, beside the northern end of runway 16/34. The inset shows the runway holding position on C, with V joining the C/A area.
  • E crossing runway 16/34, south of the runway intersection. Holding positions are shown on both sides of the runway.

Layout and route markings

The aerodrome layout describes the named taxiways and runway crossings. The source distinguishes available taxi routes in grey from tow routes drawn with dashes, with an enlarged inset around D, E, P, Q and S near runway 27. The restrictions above identify the prohibited sections explicitly.

Frequencies

All frequencies are MHz.
