This RNP 1 arrival uses magnetic tracks and distances in nautical miles (NM). Altitudes are feet above mean sea level. Maximum indicated airspeed (IAS) is 250 kt below 10,000 ft, with the additional runway-specific speeds below.
The route tables keep segment minimum altitudes separate from waypoint crossing restrictions. Distances are for each leg.
The chart depicts a right-turn hold at ALAXO with inbound track 064°. It does not print a holding altitude or leg time.
Common route to KEELA
At KEELA, follow the branch for your cleared runway.
Runway 16
Fly 230 kt IAS from KIKEX, then no more than 185 kt from BELTA. The chart’s ATC approach-speed range at BELTA is 160–185 kt.
Turn left at PASCO and left at NEFER. From BELTA, continue via the cleared GLS runway 16, RNP Z runway 16, ILS-Y/localizer-Y runway 16 or ILS-Z/localizer-Z runway 16.
Runway 27
Fly 230 kt IAS from NOMID, then no more than 185 kt from VISAS. The chart’s ATC approach-speed range at VISAS is 160–185 kt.
Turn right at KEELA and left at ROCEL. From VISAS, continue via the cleared GLS runway 27, RNP runway 27, ILS-Y/localizer-Y runway 27 or ILS-Z/localizer-Z runway 27.
Radio failure in instrument conditions
Set transponder code 7600. Comply with the vertical-navigation requirements, but do not descend below the minimum sector altitude. Follow the latest arrival clearance to the nominated runway, then fly the most suitable approach.
Frequencies
All frequencies are MHz.
Sector altitudes and chart conventions
The 10 NM minimum sector altitude (MSA) is 3,300 ft. The 25 NM MSA, centred on the YMML aerodrome reference point, is 4,500 ft in the northern sector and 3,700 ft in the southern sector. The boundaries are labelled B-080° on the west side and B-260° on the east side; these are bearing labels, not VOR radials.
The diagram uses 12° east magnetic variation and is not to scale. YMEN identifies nearby Essendon Airport.
