This is the VOR approach to runway 35, using CB VOR/DME, 116.7 MHz. Use QNH. CB DME is required, but GNSS may substitute for DME using CB VOR as the reference waypoint. Aerodrome elevation is 1,887 ft; runway 35 threshold elevation is 1,869 ft.

Entry and outbound procedure

Aircraft may be radar-vectored to an initial approach fix. MENZI is at 14.9 CB DME, with 5,400 ft shown in the profile. MOMBI is at 12 CB DME, with 5,100 ft shown. Use the applicable entry or holding clearance. For the outbound procedure from CB, the chart uses different tracks by aircraft category: The inbound final approach track is 348°. An aircraft holding at MOMBI may commence descent once established inbound on the approach.

Final descent profile

The glide-path reference is 3°. Keep all distances referenced to CB DME, not to the runway threshold. The profile places the runway 35 threshold at 2 CB DME. Thus 5.4, 7, 9, 11, 12 and 14.9 CB correspond respectively to 3.4, 5, 7, 9, 10 and 12.9 NM before the threshold.

Missed approach

At 2 CB DME, turn right to intercept CB radial 005°. Climb to 5,100 ft, or as directed by ATC. Maximum IAS during the missed-approach turn is 230 kt.

Holding

The holding entry-sector diagrams label 042°, 222°, 332° at CB and 168°, 278°, 098° at MOMBI. These are entry-sector references, not additional approach legs.

Minima

Altitudes are feet AMSL; heights are the published heights. Visibility is kilometres. The alternate row prints height–visibility pairs: A/B 1,963 ft–4.4 km, C 2,193 ft–6.0 km, D 2,333 ft–7.0 km. No circling beyond 4 NM west of runway 17/35.

Frequencies

Sector altitudes and chart conventions

The 10 NM minimum sector altitude is 5,100 ft. The 25 NM diagram is centred on CB VOR or NDB: the northern/eastern sector between R-305° and R-070° is 4,600 ft, the southern sector between R-070° and R-255° is 7,500 ft, and the western sector between R-255° and R-305° is 5,900 ft. Bearings are magnetic; elevations are feet AMSL. Magnetic variation is 12° east. The plan-view scale is 1:500,000, with a 0–5 NM bar.

Restricted areas shown

The map labels R450A from the surface to 3,500 ft, R450B from 3,500 to 4,500 ft, and R450C from 4,500 to 8,000 ft. These are the depicted vertical limits; the chart does not state whether an area is active during your run.
