This is an authorization-required RNP approach for CASA-approved operators only. Use Canberra QNH and Canberra temperature. The permitted procedure temperature range is −10°C to +45°C. Radius-to-fix (RF) capability is required for the curved legs.
Aerodrome elevation is 1,887 ft; runway 35 threshold elevation is 1,869 ft. The final descent path is 3°, with 50 ft threshold crossing height.
Join from BIBRU
Cross BIBRU at or above 5,400 ft. Maximum initial IAS is 230 kt. RNP 0.3 is required from CB441. Total procedure distance from BIBRU to RW35 is 14.5 NM.
The profile shows a 5,000 ft limit from BIBRU through CB441 to CB442, the intermediate fix. The 3° path begins at 5,000 ft at CB442, passes 4,000 ft at CB443, then reaches 3,500 ft at CB444.
Path-altitude checks
Distances in the first column are along the procedure, not direct distance to the runway. These are 3° path checks; retain the separate initial restrictions and selected minima.
Curved final and missed approach
At CB444, the final approach fix, the path is 3,500 ft and 5 NM remain to RW35. Continue through the following fixed-radius legs:
RW35 is the missed-approach point. For the missed approach, track 350° to TALAG, 12 NM, and climb to 5,100 ft. TALAG is labelled the missed-approach holding fix.
Minima and climb gradients
Altitudes are feet above mean sea level. Heights and visibility reproduce the chart’s parenthesized values. The lower minima require the stated higher missed-approach climb gradient; do not select a row from RNP capability alone.
Circling is not authorized. The alternate row gives height–visibility pairs: A/B 1,863 ft–4.4 km, C 2,093 ft–6.0 km, D 2,233 ft–7.0 km.
Frequencies
Sector altitudes and chart conventions
The 10 NM MSA is 5,100 ft. The 25 NM diagram is referenced to the YSCB aerodrome reference point: the northern/eastern sector bounded by chart bearings B-125° and B-250° is 4,600 ft, the southern sector between B-250° and B-075° is 7,500 ft, and the western sector between B-075° and B-125° is 5,900 ft. These are the bearing labels on the ARP diagram, not CB VOR radial labels.
Tracks are magnetic, elevations are feet AMSL, and distances in parentheses are NM. The map shows 12° east magnetic variation, a 1:400,000 scale and a 0–5 NM scale bar.
R450A, R450B and R450C are marked west of the airport, without vertical limits on this sheet. The RNP Z runway 35 reference includes those limits from its chart. The source colour note points to specification notices; the approach requirements, restrictions and minima are supplied in text here, while shading and plotted obstacle locations still require text coverage.
Terrain labels
The map labels spot elevations of 2,565; 2,839; 2,944; 2,880; 3,311; 2,241; 2,506; 3,020; 2,226; 2,667; 2,604; 2,641; 3,245; 3,543; 3,671; and 3,344 ft. Their geographic positions and obstacle symbols have not yet been fully transcribed into this text.
