Arrival to GURSI

AKMIR One is an RNP 1 arrival. Follow the common route to GURSI, then take the branch for the cleared runway. Distances are for each leg. The segment minimum altitude column reproduces the chart’s route altitude labels; waypoint crossing restrictions are listed separately.

Runway 07

Cross GURSI at no more than 210 kt indicated airspeed. From GURSI, follow the cleared GLS, ILS, RNP or localizer approach to runway 07.

Runways 25, 16L, 16R, 34L and 34R

From GURSI, track 061° to ANKUB, a 5 NM leg with a charted segment minimum altitude of 1,800 ft. Continue on 063° to TESAT, an 11 NM leg also labelled 1,800 ft. Expect radar vectors to final.

Approach speeds

Keep indicated airspeed at or below 250 kt below 10,000 ft, as well as any tighter limit stated on the route. The chart lists these ATC approach speed ranges:

Radio failure in instrument conditions

If able, contact Sydney approach on +61 2 9556 6515. Set transponder code 7600. Comply with the vertical-navigation requirements, but do not descend below the minimum sector altitude. Follow the latest arrival clearance to the nominated runway, then fly the most suitable approach.

Frequencies

All radio frequencies are MHz.

Sector altitudes and chart conventions

The 25 NM minimum sector altitude is 2,700 ft, centred on the YSSY aerodrome reference point. The 10 NM minimum sector altitude is 2,100 ft. Bearings are magnetic, with 13° east variation. Altitudes are feet above mean sea level unless a flight level is stated. These route diagrams are not to scale.
