Use this procedure when its prerequisites apply. Confirm each required aircraft state before acknowledging the corresponding checklist item.

General

Complete the preliminary, CDU, captain and first-officer procedures in the applicable ground configuration. Retain the side-specific requirements. A captain instrument or control does not satisfy an independent first-officer or standby check. Use the assigned detailed panel procedures for Set, Check, Test and Pass requirements. Observe the specified result and restore the required operating configuration after each actual cockpit test. Do not operate a system merely because its control appears in the reference list. Complete loading, performance preparation and the required equipment checks before progressing to the dependent departure procedures. Where an item requires an external inspection or crew adjustment, retain the assigned verification or explicit scenario exclusion.

1. Lights — Test

Perform the specified cockpit light test using the proper test switch and acceptance criteria.
Expected response: TestVerification: Observe the required indications during the test and their restoration afterward.

2. EFIS control panel — Set

Set only the EFIS selections specified by the assigned mission and configuration; confirm the actual display mode and units.
Expected response: SetVerification: Check the selected EFIS state and required displayed navigation information.

3. Mode control panel — Set

Set the assigned Mode Control Panel targets and switch selections. Verify each selected target and mode separately.
Expected response: SetVerification: Read back each required target and switch separately.

4. Oxygen — Test and set

Carry out the approved mask test and setup for the side named by the section.
Expected response: Test and setVerification: Require the test result and the prescribed final configuration.

5. Clock — Set

Resolve the required clock mode/time from the mission profile and observe the result.
Expected response: SetVerification: Read the relevant clock display after any command.

6. Nose wheel steering — Guard closed

Verify the nosewheel-steering guard is closed. Establish steering authority separately before taxi.
Expected response: Guard closedVerification: Confirm guard closure and the approved steering configuration.

7. Display select panel — Set

Apply the specified display-selection subprocedure and confirm the resulting display layout.
Expected response: SetVerification: Observe selector positions and the target displays.

8. Takeoff config light — Extinguished

Require the takeoff-configuration light itself to be extinguished and observable.
Expected response: ExtinguishedVerification: Use the dedicated light, with valid power/availability.

9. Cabin altitude light — Extinguished

Check the cabin-altitude warning light, not merely the numeric cabin altitude.
Expected response: ExtinguishedVerification: Require a valid, extinguished CABIN_ALT annunciator observation.
