Set up the approach

This is an RNP APCH procedure. Use YSSY QNH. For LNAV/VNAV, YSSY temperature is also required and the procedure temperature range is 0°C to +61°C. The final approach course is 062°. The missed approach point SSYWM is at the runway threshold; distances in the profile are to SSYWM unless stated otherwise.

Route and altitude restrictions

The leg from ANKUB to SSYWF is 5.7 NM. The final leg from SSYWF to SSYWM is 4 NM.

Descent checks

The chart changes the distance reference at SSYWF. The first group is distance to SSYWF; the second is distance to SSYWM.

Straight-in minima

These minima apply to categories A, B, C and D. Heights are above the reference elevation used by the chart.

Missed approach

Track direct to SSYWH, the missed approach holding fix 3 NM beyond SSYWM. Then track 062° and climb to 3,000 ft, or as directed by ATC.

Speed limits and holding

Cross GURSI at no more than 210 kt indicated airspeed and ANKUB at no more than 185 kt. The ATC approach speed ranges are 160–185 kt at ANKUB and 150–160 kt at 5 NM from touchdown. Holding is as directed by ATC; no holding pattern is specified on this chart.

Circling and alternate minima

Do not circle beyond 3 DME from SY, east of runway 16R and north of runway 25. The distance for this restriction is from SY DME, not the runway threshold or the approach’s distance reference.

Frequencies

All radio frequencies are MHz.

Terrain and chart conventions

Use QNH. Altitudes and elevations are feet above mean sea level; tracks are magnetic. The chart shows 13° east magnetic variation and a 1:500,000 map scale. Aerodrome elevation is 21 ft and runway 07 threshold elevation is 16 ft. The 25 NM minimum sector altitude is 2,700 ft and the 10 NM minimum sector altitude is 2,100 ft, both centred on the YSSY aerodrome reference point. Nearby aerodrome labels on the map are YSBK, YFIW and YSHW. The map’s labelled obstacle and spot elevations are 160, 190, 250, 255, 259, 273, 285, 299, 306, 320, 385, 389, 421, 430, 641, 725, 820, 870, 887 and 1,085 ft. Their geographic placement still requires a complete text description. Chart SSYGN05-187, revised 9 July 2026, from the fixed publication cycle effective 3 September 2026.
