Reverse thrust during the curfew

Use the minimum reverse thrust necessary for safe operation. Do not plan a landing if an aircraft unserviceability would require more than reverse idle. If reverse thrust above idle is used, the operator must submit a return within seven days after landing, containing:
  • date and time;
  • aircraft registration, operator and type;
  • engine type; and
  • the reason more than idle reverse was used.
Airservices does not issue a separate notification of this use to the operator.

Missed approaches during the curfew

After a missed approach during the curfew, the operator must submit a return within seven days after the attempted landing, containing:
  • date and time;
  • aircraft registration, operator and type;
  • reasons for the missed approach, including the prevailing wind conditions; and
  • the aircraft flight manual’s landing tailwind limits.
Airservices does not issue a separate notification of the missed approach to the operator.
