The Fairbairn apron is east of runway 17/35. Contact Canberra Airport for access. The adjoining 34 Squadron area has no public access; the diagram separates it from Fairbairn with a dashed boundary.
Layout and access
Taxiway A passes the apron on the runway side, continuing beyond both ends of the diagram. Taxiway D crosses runway 17/35 and joins the A/apron area. The tower is beside the buildings at the upper edge of the diagram, near stands 21, 22 and 25. A marked helicopter position is beside A at the lower edge.
Stands 21–26 occupy the tower-side portion. Stands 27, 27A and 29 form the central cluster, with 28 farther toward the 34 Squadron side. Stands 30 and 31 are nearest the dashed access boundary. This spatial description does not grant access or a runway crossing clearance.
Parking positions
Coordinates are degrees, minutes and seconds. Elevations are feet. Aircraft codes reproduce the chart’s capacity entries; they are not a substitute for the assigned parking clearance. No listed stand has hydrant fuel.
Map details
The printed scale is 1:6,000, with a 0–150 m bar. Magnetic variation is 12° east. Use the north arrows and coordinate grid when relating the rotated diagram to aircraft heading.
