Use this procedure when its prerequisites apply. Confirm each required aircraft state before acknowledging the corresponding checklist item.

General

Verify the departure runway before entry. Obtain runway-entry and takeoff authority at their respective points. Apply each lighting, transponder and thrust requirement only at its stated condition. Approximately 40% N1 is an engine-speed requirement, not a thrust-lever-position requirement. After engine stabilization, use TO/GA. At VR, rotate toward 15° pitch. Gear retraction requires the positive-climb condition. Above 400 ft, select or verify the roll mode and retract flaps as scheduled. Use the assigned altitude datum and retraction schedule. Do not equate this listed trigger with an unspecified acceleration height or a fixed flap-retraction speed. After actual flap/slat retraction, complete the remaining selections. Maintain the assigned continuous takeoff and climb control. Rejected-takeoff and failure responses require their applicable procedures; they are not established by the availability of TO/GA or autobrake controls.

1. After engines stabilize: TO/GA switch — Push

Condition: After engines stabilize. When the stated condition is satisfied, push the assigned TO/GA switch once. Verify the resulting thrust and flight-mode indications.
When: After engines stabilize.Expected response: PushVerification: Require the intended takeoff/go-around mode outcome for the configured aircraft.

2. At VR: Rotate toward — 15° pitch

Condition: At VR. At the applicable VR, rotate toward 15° pitch using the assigned flight-control function. Verify actual pitch and flight-path response.
When: At VR.Expected response: 15° pitchVerification: Observe actual pitch and the ongoing takeoff flight state; reaching a yoke ratio is not reaching 15°.

3. At positive climb: Landing gear lever — Up

Condition: At positive climb. When the stated condition is satisfied, select the landing gear lever UP. Verify the required lever position and gear indications.
When: At positive climb.Expected response: UPVerification: For DOWN, verify the required safe indications; for UP/OFF, require actual lever and gear-state evidence appropriate to that command.

4. Above 400 ft: Roll mode — Select or verify

Condition: Above 400 ft. Resolve the appropriate source-permitted roll mode from the departure/approach plan. Observe active versus armed FMA state before changing it.
When: Above 400 ft.Expected response: Select or verifyVerification: Require the mode intended by the approved branch, not just an illuminated button.

5. Above 400 ft: Flaps — Retract as scheduled

Condition: Above 400 ft. When the stated condition is satisfied, select each retraction detent as required by the assigned flap-retraction schedule. Verify the required lever detent and actual flap/slat configuration.
When: Above 400 ft.Expected response: Retract as scheduledVerification: Verify the chosen lever detent and the required actual flap/slat configuration.

Continue to Takeoff — part 3. The checklist adds no condition between these parts; the next part’s individual step conditions still apply.
