Use this procedure when its prerequisites apply. Confirm each required aircraft state before acknowledging the corresponding checklist item.

General

Verify the flight-deck door, CDU display, N1 references, IAS references and Mode Control Panel for the assigned departure. Use the actual loading and applicable performance data. Close and verify the door lock independently. Confirm that the displayed reference speeds and N1 targets are the intended values; the presence of a bug or a successful data-entry action does not establish its correctness.

1. Flight deck door — Closed/locked

Close the flight-deck door and verify its locked condition, not only that a close command was accepted.
Expected response: Closed/lockedVerification: Require separate closed and locked evidence.

2. CDU display — Set

Select and verify the mission-required CDU page, using displayed labels rather than assumed LSK positions.
Expected response: SetVerification: Verify the actual page and required data fields.

3. N1 bugs — Check

Cross-check the takeoff N1 reference bugs against the applicable performance data and actual aircraft configuration.
Expected response: CheckVerification: Read the displayed target N1 values and compare with approved results; actual N1 is separate.

4. IAS bugs — Check

Cross-check the takeoff reference-speed bugs against the applicable V1, VR and V2 performance data.
Expected response: CheckVerification: Verify the actual displayed reference speeds on the expected page/display.

5. MCP — Set

Set the assigned Mode Control Panel targets and switch selections. Verify each selected target and mode separately.
Expected response: SetVerification: Read back each required target and switch separately.
