IDROP One is an RNP 1 departure for non-jet aircraft using runway 17 or 35. Maximum IAS is 250 kt below 10,000 ft. Tracks are magnetic and elevations are feet AMSL.

Runway 35

  1. Climb at 6.8% to 3,400 ft, then 3.3%.
  2. Not before the departure end of the runway, turn right and track 353°.
  3. At 3,400 ft, turn right and track direct to OKERU. Outside tower hours, make this turn at 5,000 ft instead, as required by the chart’s noise-abatement note.
  4. Turn left onto 012° to IDROP, then continue as cleared.

Runway 17

  1. Climb at 4.9% to 4,800 ft, then 3.3%.

  5. Turn left onto 350° to OKERU, crossing OKERU at or above FL120.
  6. Turn right onto 012° to IDROP, then continue as cleared.
The FL120 restriction at OKERU is labelled for runway 17. The runway 35 branch has its own turn-altitude requirement above.

Sector altitudes and diagram

The 10 NM MSA is 5,100 ft. This chart’s 25 NM diagram identifies YSCB ARP and labels its sector boundaries R-305°, R-070° and R-255°. Its northern/eastern sector is 4,900 ft, southern sector 7,500 ft, and western sector 5,900 ft. Retain the 4,900 ft value from this chart; some other Canberra departure charts show 4,600 ft for their northern/eastern sector. The diagram is not to scale and shows 12° E magnetic variation. See the noise-abatement departure rules for the referenced outside-hours context.
