The illustrated noise-abatement area covers the Canberra urban area west of the airport and a smaller area around Queanbeyan southeast of it. The large western area is shown between the vicinity of CB radial 320° to the north and CB radial 180° to the south. The source chart does not supply a coordinate list defining the perimeter; its precise boundary still requires a text description. The map marks CB VOR, Canberra Airport, Mount Majura, MOMBI, and the extended runway centrelines. It uses a 1:500,000 scale with a 0–5 NM scale bar and shows 12° E magnetic variation. Its grid includes 149°00′, 149°10′ and 149°20′E and 35°10′, 35°20′ and 35°30′S.

Overflight floors

These floors apply with the preferred-flight-path rules. The exceptions below are part of the same published procedure.

Exceptions

The noise-abatement areas do not apply to:
  • Aircraft with priority under AIP ENR 1.4, including emergencies and medical priorities.
  • Aircraft that must enter the area to avoid hazardous weather.
  • Aircraft that must enter because of operational requirements.
  • Tower circuit-training aircraft.
  • Aircraft making an unplanned missed approach that are then reprocessed through a circuit.
  • Aircraft requiring departure on the reciprocal of the duty arrival runway when avoiding the area would cause significant delay to aircraft operations.
The exception changes the application of this noise-abatement area; it does not supply a route or replace the aircraft’s clearance.
