# Pricing API

> Look up model prices and calculate inference costs through the free, public Narev Pricing API.

Use the Pricing API to retrieve model prices across providers and calculate a request's cost from its token usage. The API is free and public. You do not need an account or API key.

The REST base URL is `https://api.narev.ai`. Agents can access pricing through MCP at `https://mcp.narev.ai`.

## What the API calculates

Prices describe the provider's catalog rates. Cost calculation prices supplied usage; it does not run inference or charge your customers. Your actual invoice can differ because of negotiated rates, credits, or other charges.

A missing price or `pricing: null` does not mean the model is free. Inspect the returned message before comparing prices or estimating cost.
