# read_checklist

> Read checklist definitions and progress.

Read checklist definitions and progress. Supply user\_id and run\_id together for durable progress scoped to that user and flight; omit both to use the newest active run, or definitions only when there is none. Optionally filter by category or section (ids from list\_checklist\_categories). A scoped read creates or resumes the checklist execution; use its execution\_id with mark\_checklist or activate\_checklist. The scope fields (user\_id, run\_id, execution\_id) come first in the result; if they are null, no active run was found and only definitions are returned (no progress can be marked). The full checklist is large: prefer a section filter from list\_checklist\_categories. Completion records pilot acknowledgement, not simulator verification.
