# Sydney KEVIN Seven departure from runway 16L

> Sydney KEVIN Seven departure from runway 16L.

This is an **RNP 1** departure from **runway 16L**. **Do not make the initial turn to the right during parallel runway operations.** Maximum IAS is **250 kt below 10,000 ft**. The initial climb gradient is **3.3%**, with an **8% requirement to EXOVA** on the transitions that use it.

## From runway 16L to KEVIN

1. Track **155°**, at **no more than 230 kt until IDBIM**.
2. At **500 ft**, **turn left direct to IDBIM**. The diagram labels the direct segment **2 NM**.
3. At IDBIM, track **128° to KEVIN**, **10 NM**, at **no more than 250 kt until KEVIN**.

## Radar transition

At KEVIN, continue **128°** and expect radar vectors to the cleared route.

## CAWLY, EVONN and OPTIC transitions

From KEVIN, turn **left** onto the track for the cleared transition:

| Destination | Track | Distance |
| - | -: | -: |
| CAWLY | 099° | 31 NM |
| EVONN | 084° | 33 NM |
| OPTIC | 109° | 30 NM |

After the named destination, continue as cleared.

## Common route for DIPSO, NOBAR and OLSEM

Maximum IAS is **265 kt until EXOVA**, while retaining the general 250 kt limit below 10,000 ft.

1. From KEVIN, **turn left onto 035° to EXOVA**, **7 NM**.
2. Cross **EXOVA at or above 10,000 ft**. The required climb gradient **to EXOVA is 8%**.
3. **Turn left onto 003° to PEDLU**, **10 NM**.

Then use the cleared branch:

| Branch from PEDLU | Turn | Track | Distance | Continuation |
| - | - | -: | -: | - |
| DIPSO | Right | 079° | 27 NM | Then as cleared |
| NOBAR | Right | 046° | 13 NM | Then as cleared |
| OLSEM | Continue | 003° | 15 NM | Then as cleared; BANDA requirements below apply |

The initial no-right-turn caution does not cancel a published right turn after PEDLU.

## OLSEM–Y193–BANDA requirement

For aircraft cleared via **OLSEM–Y193–BANDA**, reach:

| Distance remaining to BANDA | Required flight level |
| - | - |
| By 156 NM | FL180 |
| By 144 NM | FL220 |
| By 110 NM | FL250 |

**Advise ATC if unable to comply.**

## Frequencies

All frequencies are MHz.

| Service | Frequency |
| - | - |
| ATIS | 118.55 |
| Airways clearance delivery | 133.8 |
| Surface movement east of runway 16R/34L | 121.7 |
| Surface movement west of runway 16R/34L | 126.5 |
| Tower | 124.7 |
| Departure north: north and east routes | 123.0 |
| Departure south: south, west and northwest routes | 129.7 |

## Sector altitudes and chart conventions

The **25 NM minimum sector altitude is 2,700 ft**, centred on the **YSSY aerodrome reference point**. The **10 NM minimum sector altitude is 2,100 ft**. Bearings are magnetic, with **13° east** variation. Altitudes are feet above mean sea level unless a flight level is stated. These route diagrams are **not to scale**.
