# BOREE Five Alpha arrival

> BOREE Five Alpha arrival.

## Arrival to OVILS

BOREE Five Alpha is an **RNP 1 arrival**. Cross **BOREE at or above 9,000 ft**. Follow the common route to OVILS, then take the branch for the cleared runway.

Distances are for each leg. The segment minimum altitude column reproduces the chart’s route altitude labels; waypoint crossing restrictions are listed separately.

| From | Track | To | Distance | Segment minimum altitude | Crossing restriction |
| - | - | - | - | - | - |
| BOREE | 158° | VASRA | 8 NM | 2,500 ft | At or above 8,000 ft |
| VASRA | 158° | KAFRI | 8 NM | 2,300 ft | At or below FL120 |
| KAFRI | 158° | BEROW | 7 NM | 2,300 ft | At or below 9,000 ft |
| BEROW | 158° | OVILS | 5 NM | 2,200 ft | — |

## Runways 07, 16L, 16R and 25

From OVILS, continue on track **158°** and expect radar vectors to final.

## Runway 34L

| From | Instruction | To | Distance | Segment minimum altitude | Crossing restriction |
| - | - | - | - | - | - |
| OVILS | Track 158° | JENTL | 7 NM | 2,100 ft | — |
| JENTL | Turn right, track 181° | ZONKA | 9 NM | 2,000 ft | At or above 6,000 ft |
| ZONKA | Track 181° | DUDOK | 8 NM | 1,800 ft | — |
| DUDOK | Turn left, track 155° | NASHO | 7 NM | 2,100 ft | — |

From NASHO, continue on track **155°** and expect radar vectors to final.

## Runway 34R

| From | Instruction | To | Distance | Segment minimum altitude | Crossing restriction |
| - | - | - | - | - | - |
| OVILS | Turn left, track 121° | MAJAR | 11 NM | 2,100 ft | — |
| MAJAR | Turn right, track 155° | DIPPA | 8 NM | 1,800 ft | At or above 6,000 ft |
| DIPPA | Track 155° | JAKLN | 12 NM | 1,500 ft | — |

From JAKLN, continue on track **155°** and expect radar vectors to final. During [precision runway monitoring operations](https://www.narev.ai/docs/irl-gym/airports/sydney/charts/precision-runway-monitoring.md), expect to track downwind until reaching **2,000 ft**.

## Approach speeds

Keep indicated airspeed at or below **250 kt below 10,000 ft**, as well as any tighter limit stated on the route. The chart lists these ATC approach speed ranges:

| Distance from touchdown | Indicated airspeed |
| - | - |
| 10 NM | 160–185 kt |
| 5 NM | 150–160 kt |

## Radio failure in instrument conditions

If able, contact Sydney approach on **+61 2 9556 6515**. Set transponder code **7600**. Comply with the vertical-navigation requirements, but **do not descend below the minimum sector altitude**. Follow the latest arrival clearance to the nominated runway, then fly the most suitable approach.

## Frequencies

All radio frequencies are MHz.

| Service | Frequency |
| - | - |
| ATIS | 118.55 |
| Approach | 124.4 |
| Director east | 125.3 |
| Director west | 126.1 |
| Tower: runways 16R/34L and 07/25 | 120.5 |
| Tower: runway 16L/34R | 124.7 |
| Surface movement east of runway 16R/34L | 121.7 |
| Surface movement west of runway 16R/34L | 126.5 |

## Sector altitudes and chart conventions

The **25 NM minimum sector altitude is 2,700 ft**, centred on the **YSSY aerodrome reference point**. The **10 NM minimum sector altitude is 2,100 ft**. Bearings are magnetic, with **13° east** variation. Altitudes are feet above mean sea level unless a flight level is stated. These route diagrams are **not to scale**.

Chart **SSYSR06-187**, revised **9 July 2026**, from the fixed publication cycle effective **3 September 2026**.
