# RAZZI One Alpha arrival to runways 09 and 34

> RAZZI One Alpha arrival to runways 09 and 34.

This **RNP 1** arrival uses magnetic tracks and distances in nautical miles (NM). Altitudes are feet above mean sea level. Maximum indicated airspeed (IAS) is **250 kt below 10,000 ft**, with the additional runway-specific speeds below.

The route tables keep **segment minimum altitudes** separate from **waypoint crossing restrictions**. Distances are for each leg.

## Common route to MICHM

Cross **RAZZI at or above 10,000 ft**. Track **319° for 12 NM to MICHM**, with a segment minimum altitude of **3,000 ft**. At MICHM, follow the branch for your cleared runway.

## Runway 09

Fly **230 kt IAS from BELTA**, then **no more than 185 kt from GUPUG**. The chart’s ATC approach-speed range at **GUPUG is 160–185 kt**.

| From | Track | To | Distance | Segment minimum altitude | Crossing restriction |
| - | - | - | - | - | - |
| MICHM | 321° | MOSVO | 8 NM | 3,000 ft | — |
| MOSVO | 323° | OMBAT | 11 NM | 3,000 ft | OMBAT at or below 9,000 ft |
| OMBAT | 286° | AGTEV | 3 NM | 3,000 ft | AGTEV at or above 7,000 ft |
| AGTEV | 286° | BELTA | 9 NM | 3,000 ft | BELTA at or above 5,000 ft |
| BELTA | 224° | OPAVA | 9 NM | 3,000 ft | OPAVA at or below 6,000 ft |
| OPAVA | 215° | UPKAN | 3 NM | 3,000 ft | UPKAN at or above 4,000 ft |
| UPKAN | 173° | GUPUG | 4 NM | 3,000 ft | GUPUG between 3,000 and 4,000 ft |

Turn **right at MICHM**, **right at MOSVO**, **left at OMBAT**, **left at BELTA**, **left at OPAVA** and **left at UPKAN**. From GUPUG, continue via the cleared [GLS runway 09](https://www.narev.ai/docs/irl-gym/airports/melbourne/charts/gls-runway-09.md) or [RNP runway 09](https://www.narev.ai/docs/irl-gym/airports/melbourne/charts/rnp-runway-09.md) approach.

The source labels **MOSVO–OMBAT as 11 NM on this sheet**, but **7 NM on the runway 16/27 sheet**. Both source values are retained pending reconciliation.

## Runway 34

Fly **230 kt IAS from UPKID**, then **no more than 185 kt from AKDEL**. The chart’s ATC approach-speed range at **AKDEL is 160–185 kt**.

| From | Track | To | Distance | Segment minimum altitude | Crossing restriction |
| - | - | - | - | - | - |
| MICHM | 271° | UPKID | 4 NM | 3,000 ft | UPKID at or above 5,000 ft |
| UPKID | 271° | GOOLA | 5 NM | 3,000 ft | GOOLA at or above 4,000 ft |
| GOOLA | 246° | BOLTY | 3 NM | 3,000 ft | BOLTY at or above 3,000 ft |
| BOLTY | 250° | AKDEL | 4 NM | 2,500 ft | — |

Turn **left at MICHM**, **left at GOOLA** and **right at BOLTY**. From AKDEL, continue via the cleared [GLS runway 34](https://www.narev.ai/docs/irl-gym/airports/melbourne/charts/gls-runway-34.md) or [RNP runway 34](https://www.narev.ai/docs/irl-gym/airports/melbourne/charts/rnp-runway-34.md) approach.

**Identify Melbourne runway 34 by its runway threshold identification lights. Essendon Airport is 5 NM south-east of ML.**

## Radio failure in instrument conditions

Set transponder code **7600**. Comply with the vertical-navigation requirements, but **do not descend below the minimum sector altitude**. Follow the latest arrival clearance to the nominated runway, then fly the most suitable approach.

## Frequencies

All frequencies are MHz.

| Service | Frequency |
| - | - |
| ATIS | 114.1 or 118.0 |
| Approach | 132.0 |
| Tower | 120.5 |
| Surface movement | 121.7 |

## Sector altitudes and chart conventions

The **10 NM minimum sector altitude (MSA) is 3,300 ft**. The **25 NM MSA**, centred on the **YMML aerodrome reference point**, is **4,500 ft in the northern sector** and **3,700 ft in the southern sector**. The boundaries are labelled **B-080° on the west side** and **B-260° on the east side**; these are bearing labels, not VOR radials.

The diagram uses **12° east magnetic variation** and is **not to scale**. **YMEN** identifies nearby Essendon Airport.

Chart **MMLSR26-183**, revised **12 June 2025**, from the fixed publication cycle effective **3 September 2026**.
