# Canberra LEECE One Whiskey and Yankee jet arrivals

> Canberra LEECE One Whiskey and Yankee jet arrivals.

These **RNP 1** arrivals serve **jet aircraft**. Maximum IAS is **250 kt below 10,000 ft**. Choose the branch matching the assigned runway and approach; the runway 35 Whiskey and Yankee branches lead to different RNP approaches.

## Runway 17 Yankee

1. From **LEECE**, track **256° to PADNA**. Cross PADNA **at or above 9,000 ft**.
2. Turn right onto **257° to GEORG**. Cross GEORG **between 7,000 ft and FL110**.
3. Turn left onto **242° to VILIG**. Cross VILIG **at or above 6,000 ft**.
4. Continue **242° to SAPIT**, crossing **at or above 5,000 ft**. Maximum IAS is **210 kt from SAPIT**.
5. Continue via the [RNP Y runway 17 (AR)](https://www.narev.ai/docs/irl-gym/airports/canberra/charts/rnp-y-runway-17-ar.md) approach.

## Runway 35: common initial legs

From **LEECE**, track **214° to AKLIM**, crossing **at or above 9,000 ft**. Continue **214° to EKASA**, crossing **at or above 7,000 ft**. Continue **214° to SLICK**, crossing **at or above 6,000 ft**.

Then follow the assigned branch:

| Branch | Routing from SLICK | Approach |
| - | - | - |
| Runway 35 Yankee | Turn right onto **258° to BIBRU**; cross BIBRU **at or above 5,400 ft**. | RNP Y runway 35 (AR) |
| Runway 35 Whiskey | Turn right onto **215° to FOXLO**; cross FOXLO **at or above 6,000 ft**. | RNP W runway 35 (AR) |

## Leg distances and altitude labels

These are the small altitude labels printed beside the charted legs. They do not cancel the waypoint crossing restrictions above.

| Leg | Magnetic track | Distance | Charted leg altitude, ft |
| - | -: | -: | -: |
| LEECE–PADNA | 256° | 11 NM | 3,800 |
| PADNA–GEORG | 257° | 12 NM | 4,700 |
| GEORG–VILIG | 242° | 5 NM | 3,800 |
| VILIG–SAPIT | 242° | 3 NM | 4,100 |
| LEECE–AKLIM | 214° | 11 NM | 3,800 |
| AKLIM–EKASA | 214° | 13 NM | 4,500 |
| EKASA–SLICK | 214° | 12 NM | 5,400 |
| SLICK–BIBRU | 258° | 5 NM | 4,800 |
| SLICK–FOXLO | 215° | 8 NM | 4,800 |

## Communication failure in instrument conditions

Set transponder code **7600**. Comply with the vertical-navigation requirements, **without descending below MSA**. Follow the latest STAR clearance to the nominated runway, then fly the most suitable approach.

## Frequencies

| Service | Frequency |

| AWIS, after hours | 116.7 MHz |
| Approach | 124.5 MHz |
| Tower | 118.7 MHz |
| Surface movement / airways clearance | 121.7 MHz |
| Flight information, after hours | ML CEN 125.9 MHz |
| CTAF + AFRU, after hours | 118.7 MHz |
| AFRU + PAL, after hours | 118.7 MHz |

## Sector altitudes and chart conventions

The **10 NM MSA is 5,100 ft**. The 25 NM diagram is referenced to the **YSCB aerodrome reference point**: the northern/eastern sector bounded by chart bearings **B-125° and B-250°** is **4,600 ft**, the southern sector between **B-250° and B-075°** is **7,500 ft**, and the western sector between **B-075° and B-125°** is **5,900 ft**. These are the bearing labels on the ARP diagram, not CB VOR radial labels.

Tracks are magnetic, elevations are feet AMSL, and distances in parentheses are NM. The diagram shows **12° E** magnetic variation and is **not to scale**.

The diagram marks **222° at LEECE**. Published change note: waypoint RAZZI renamed LEECE; procedure name; validity indicator.

Chart **SCBSR13-179**, revised **13 June 2024**, from the fixed publication cycle effective **3 September 2026**.
