# Canberra DME or GNSS arrival sectors A and C

> Canberra DME or GNSS arrival sectors A and C.

Use **CB DME** for distance, or **CB VOR as the GNSS reference waypoint**. CB VOR/DME is **116.7 MHz**; CB NDB is **263 kHz**. The route panels specify which navigation aid may be used for tracking. Aerodrome elevation is **1,887 ft**.

These procedures give descent profiles to circling minima. The step-down limits and 3° path checks are separate: a path-table altitude does not replace the minimum for the segment. Distances below are nautical miles to **CB VOR/DME**, not distance to the runway or the NDB.

Both sector panels allow tracking to **CB VOR or NDB**. Keep the selected inbound sector and missed-approach turn direction together.

## Sector A — inbound tracks 230° to 340°

| Distance interval | Minimum altitude, ft |
| - | -: |
| 25–19 NM | 7,000 |
| 19–15 NM | 6,000 |
| 15–10 NM | 5,500 |
| 10–7 NM | 5,000 |
| 7–3 NM | 4,000 |
| After 3 NM | Applicable circling minimum |

At CB, the missed-approach point, **turn right onto 020° and climb to 5,100 ft**, or as directed by ATC. **Complete the turn within 4 CB DME.**

### Sector A path-altitude checks

| CB distance, NM | Altitude on the 3° path, ft |
| -: | -: |
| 12.2 | 7000 |
| 12 | 6930 |
| 10 | 6290 |
| 9 | 5970 |
| 8 | 5650 |
| 7 | 5340 |
| 6 | 5020 |
| 5 | 4700 |
| 4 | 4380 |
| 3 | 4060 |
| 2 | 3750 |
| 1.9 | 3720 |
| 1.5 | 3580 |
| 1 | 3430 |
| 0.8 | 3350 |

The profile highlights **4,700 ft at 5 NM** and **4,060 ft at 3 NM**.

## Sector C — inbound tracks 211° to 229°

| Distance interval | Minimum altitude, ft |
| - | -: |
| 25–19 NM | 7,000 |
| 19–15 NM | 6,000 |
| 15–10 NM | 5,000 |
| 10–3 NM | 4,000 |
| After 3 NM | Applicable circling minimum |

At CB, the missed-approach point, **turn left onto 020° and climb to 5,100 ft**, or as directed by ATC. The sector A requirement to complete a right turn within 4 DME is not printed for sector C.

### Sector C path-altitude checks

| CB distance, NM | Altitude on the 3° path, ft |
| -: | -: |
| 12.1 | 7000 |
| 12 | 6970 |
| 11 | 6650 |
| 10 | 6330 |
| 9 | 6010 |
| 8 | 5690 |
| 7 | 5370 |
| 6 | 5050 |
| 5 | 4740 |
| 4 | 4420 |
| 3 | 4100 |
| 2 | 3780 |
| 1.8 | 3720 |
| 1.4 | 3580 |
| 0.7 | 3350 |

The profile highlights **6,330 ft at 10 NM** and **4,100 ft at 3 NM**.

## Circling minima — both sectors

| Categories | Minimum altitude, ft | Visibility, km |
| - | -: | -: |
| A and B | 3,350 | 2.4 |
| C | 3,580 | 4.0 |
| D | 3,720 | 5.0 |

## Sector altitudes and conventions

The **10 NM minimum sector altitude is 5,100 ft**. The 25 NM diagram is centred on **CB VOR or NDB**: **4,600 ft** between **R-305° and R-070°**, **7,500 ft** between **R-070° and R-255°**, and **5,900 ft** between **R-255° and R-305°**. Bearings are magnetic and elevations are feet above mean sea level.

**No circling beyond 4 NM west of runway 17/35.** The airport sketch shows this excluded area west of the runway; it also distinguishes the VOR/DME and NDB locations.
