# Canberra DME or GNSS arrivals from AVBEG, COM and IGDEL

> Canberra DME or GNSS arrivals from AVBEG, COM and IGDEL.

Use **CB DME** for distance, or **CB VOR as the GNSS reference waypoint**. CB VOR/DME is **116.7 MHz**; CB NDB is **263 kHz**. The route panels specify which navigation aid may be used for tracking. Aerodrome elevation is **1,887 ft**.

These procedures give descent profiles to circling minima. The step-down limits and 3° path checks are separate: a path-table altitude does not replace the minimum for the segment. Distances below are nautical miles to **CB VOR/DME**, not distance to the runway or the NDB.

## AVBEG to CB

Track **152° to CB VOR or NDB**. The plan-view inbound leg carries a **4,400 ft** label. The descent-profile limits are:

| Distance interval | Minimum altitude, ft |
| - | -: |
| 25–19 NM | 7,000 |
| 19–15 NM | 6,000 |
| 15–10 NM | 5,000 |
| 10–6 NM | 4,000 |
| After 6 NM | Applicable circling minimum |

Circling minima for this route are **A/B 3,550 ft with 2.4 km visibility**, **C 3,580 ft with 4.0 km**, and **D 3,720 ft with 5.0 km**. The A/B altitude is higher than on the COM and IGDEL routes.

At CB, the missed-approach point, **turn left onto 020°** and **climb to 5,100 ft**, or as directed by ATC.

### AVBEG path-altitude checks

| CB distance, NM | Altitude on the 3° path, ft |
| -: | -: |
| 13.5 | 7000 |

| 2.8 | 3580 |
| 2.7 | 3550 |

The profile also highlights **5,890 ft at 10 NM**.

## COM to CB

Track **358° to CB VOR or NDB**. The plan-view inbound leg carries a **7,500 ft** label.

| Distance interval | Minimum altitude, ft |
| - | -: |
| 25–19 NM | 7,000 |
| 19–15 NM | 6,000 |
| 15–10 NM | 5,200 |
| 10–5 NM | 4,000 |
| After 5 NM | Applicable circling minimum |

Circling minima are **A/B 3,350 ft with 2.4 km visibility**, **C 3,580 ft with 4.0 km**, and **D 3,720 ft with 5.0 km**.

At CB, the missed-approach point, **track 358° and climb to 5,100 ft**, or as directed by ATC.

### COM path-altitude checks

| CB distance, NM | Altitude on the 3° path, ft |
| -: | -: |
| 13.5 | 7000 |
| 13 | 6850 |
| 12 | 6530 |

| 3 | 3670 |
| 2.7 | 3580 |
| 2 | 3350 |

The profile also highlights **4,310 ft at 5 NM**.

## IGDEL to CB — VOR only

Track **080° to CB VOR**. This panel explicitly excludes NDB tracking. The plan-view inbound leg carries a **6,100 ft** label.

| Distance interval | Minimum altitude, ft |
| - | -: |
| 25–19 NM | 7,000 |
| 19–15 NM | 6,000 |
| 15–10 NM | 5,000 |
| 10–4 NM | 4,000 |
| After 4 NM | Applicable circling minimum |

Circling minima are **A/B 3,350 ft with 2.4 km visibility**, **C 3,580 ft with 4.0 km**, and **D 3,720 ft with 5.0 km**.

At CB VOR, the missed-approach point, **track 080° and climb to 5,100 ft**, or as directed by ATC.

### IGDEL path-altitude checks

| CB distance, NM | Altitude on the 3° path, ft |
| -: | -: |
| 12.4 | 7000 |
| 12 | 6860 |
| 11 | 6540 |
| 10 | 6230 |
| 9 | 5910 |
| 8 | 5590 |
| 7 | 5270 |
| 6 | 4950 |
| 5 | 4640 |
| 4 | 4320 |
| 3 | 4000 |
| 2.1 | 3720 |
| 2 | 3680 |
| 1.7 | 3580 |
| 1 | 3350 |

The profile also highlights **4,640 ft at 5 NM**.

## Sector altitudes and conventions

The **10 NM minimum sector altitude is 5,100 ft**. The 25 NM diagram is centred on **CB VOR or NDB**: **4,600 ft** between **R-305° and R-070°**, **7,500 ft** between **R-070° and R-255°**, and **5,900 ft** between **R-255° and R-305°**. Bearings are magnetic and elevations are feet above mean sea level.

**No circling beyond 4 NM west of runway 17/35.** The airport sketch shows this excluded area west of the runway; it also distinguishes the VOR/DME and NDB locations.
