# Canberra BUNGO Five Yankee non-jet arrival

> Canberra BUNGO Five Yankee non-jet arrival.

These are **non-jet** arrivals requiring **RNP 1** navigation capability. Maximum indicated airspeed is **250 kt below 10,000 ft**, with any lower branch-specific limits given below. They do not provide an arrival clearance for the Boeing 737-800 jet.

The runway 17 and runway 35 branches connect to **RNP Y (AR)** approaches. AR denotes an authorization-required approach.

The small altitude labels alongside the legs are preserved separately from the mandatory waypoint crossing restrictions. All altitudes are feet above mean sea level unless given as a flight level. Tracks are magnetic; distances are nautical miles.

## Runway 17

| Leg | Track | Distance, NM | Leg altitude label, ft | Crossing or speed restriction |
| - | -: | -: | -: | - |
| BUNGO → LIGNU | 227° | 10 | 4,100 | LIGNU at or above 9,000 ft |
| LIGNU → GEORG | 227° | 10 | 4,800 | GEORG between 7,000 ft and FL110 |
| GEORG → VILIG | 242° | 5 | 3,800 | VILIG at or above 6,000 ft |
| VILIG → SAPIT | 242° | 3 | 4,100 | SAPIT at or above 5,000 ft; maximum 210 kt from SAPIT |

Turn **right at GEORG** onto 242°. From SAPIT, continue on the [RNP Y runway 17 (AR)](https://www.narev.ai/docs/irl-gym/airports/canberra/charts/rnp-y-runway-17-ar.md) approach.

## Runway 35

| Leg | Track | Distance, NM | Leg altitude label, ft | Crossing or speed restriction |
| - | -: | -: | -: | - |
| BUNGO → AVBUR | 201° | 11 | 4,100 | AVBUR at or above 9,000 ft |
| AVBUR → NUMVO | 201° | 12 | 4,300 | NUMVO at or above 7,000 ft |
| NUMVO → ELGAX | 202° | 6 | 4,500 | ELGAX at or above 6,000 ft |
| ELGAX → HIPPO | 202° | 12 | 4,700 | Maximum 230 kt from HIPPO |
| HIPPO → BIBRU | 257° | 2 | 4,800 | BIBRU at or above 5,400 ft |

Turn **right at NUMVO** onto 202°, then **right at HIPPO** onto 257°. From BIBRU, continue on the [RNP Y runway 35 (AR)](https://www.narev.ai/docs/irl-gym/airports/canberra/charts/rnp-y-runway-35-ar.md) approach. The curved continuation is an approach connection, not an additional STAR leg.

## Radio failure in instrument conditions

Set transponder code **7600**. Follow the vertical-navigation requirements without descending below the minimum sector altitude. Follow the latest STAR clearance to the nominated runway, then use the most suitable approach.

## Sector altitudes and chart conventions

The **10 NM MSA is 5,100 ft**. The 25 NM diagram is referenced to the **YSCB aerodrome reference point**: the northern/eastern sector bounded by chart bearings **B-125° and B-250°** is **4,600 ft**, the southern sector between **B-250° and B-075°** is **7,500 ft**, and the western sector between **B-075° and B-125°** is **5,900 ft**. These are the bearing labels on the ARP diagram, not CB VOR radial labels.

Tracks are magnetic, elevations are feet AMSL, and distances in parentheses are NM. The diagram shows **12° E** magnetic variation and is **not to scale**.

The diagram labels **222° at BUNGO**. This is retained as a diagram reference; the route tracks are specified in the branch tables. Published change: revised procedure.

Chart **SCBSR14-176**, revised **7 September 2023**, from the fixed publication cycle effective **3 September 2026**.
