# After landing

> After landing: conditions, actions and checks for the Boeing 737-800.

Use this procedure after rollout, at the assigned after-landing point. Confirm each required aircraft state before acknowledging the corresponding checklist item.

## General

Begin after the landing/rollout condition and assigned after-landing point are verified. Do not retract flaps or disarm braking because a final-approach checklist has finished.

Apply the off and up selections below. Verify weather-radar operating mode separately from its overlay on the navigation display (ND). Use the assigned route and taxi procedure for movement to the parking position.

### 1. Autobrake — **Off**

Select autobrake OFF. Verify the selector and required indications.

> **Checks and evidence**
>
> **Expected response:** OFF
>
> **Verification:** Confirm the selected mode and required arming/disarm state.

### 2. Speedbrake lever — **Down**

Set the speedbrake lever to DOWN. Use the applicable lever-detent conversion and verify the required position.

> **Checks and evidence**
>
> **Expected response:** Down
>
> **Verification:** Confirm the required lever detent and, for ARM, the separate SPEEDBRAKE ARMED indication.

### 3. Probe heat — **Off**

Select probe heat off for all applicable probe heat systems on the configured aircraft.

> **Checks and evidence**
>
> **Expected response:** OFF
>
> **Verification:** Confirm the relevant switch states and both probe-system outcomes.
>
> **Earlier source wording:** Apply the checklist’s literal OFF or ON requirement to all applicable probe heat systems for the configured aircraft.
>
> Use the operating instruction above where it corrects or clarifies this earlier wording.

### 4. Exterior lights — **As needed**

Set the exterior lights for the assigned taxi operation. Verify each requested light; this checklist does not specify a complete lighting-panel setup.

> **Checks and evidence**
>
> **Expected response:** As needed
>
> **Verification:** Verify the requested lights, using the configured landing-light variant.
>
> **Earlier source wording:** Apply the approved lighting-panel setup without inventing which lights Set includes.
>
> Use the operating instruction above where it corrects or clarifies this earlier wording.

### 5. Engine start switches — **Off**

Select both engine start switches OFF. Verify both rotary-switch positions. These switches are separate from the fuel/start levers.

> **Checks and evidence**
>
> **Expected response:** OFF
>
> **Verification:** Require both applicable rotary-switch states.

### 6. Weather radar — **Off**

Select weather radar off and verify its operating mode. Hiding the weather overlay on the navigation display does not establish that the radar is off.

> **Checks and evidence**
>
> **Expected response:** OFF
>
> **Verification:** Read the radar operating mode and display state separately.
>
> **Earlier source wording:** Set weather radar according to the approved phase/profile, distinguishing the radar’s actual operating mode from showing its overlay on the ND.
>
> Use the operating instruction above where it corrects or clarifies this earlier wording.

### 7. Flap lever — **Up**

When the stated condition is satisfied, select UP. Verify the required lever detent and actual flap/slat configuration.

> **Checks and evidence**
>
> **Expected response:** Up
>
> **Verification:** Verify the chosen lever detent and the required actual flap/slat configuration.

### 8. Transponder — **As needed**

Set code and mode from the mission/clearance, then verify both. Code and mode are separate requirements.

> **Checks and evidence**
>
> **Expected response:** As needed
>
> **Verification:** Read back the actual code and mode; for explicit TA/RA or STBY select that named mode.

## Continue after this procedure

Follow the assigned taxi route and stop at the required parking position. If the scenario includes shutdown, continue with [Shutdown — part 1](https://www.narev.ai/docs/irl-gym/aircraft/procedures/shutdown-1.md) once its entry conditions apply. The source checklist does not prescribe a transition for every scenario.
